Flight Attendant Mistakes Passenger for Snoop Dogg

Published January 19, 2024

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant recently made headlines after she confused a passenger for famed rapper Snoop Dogg. The attendant, Chrissy Lofton, enthusiastically approached the look-alike, remarking on his height and asking for photos, under the impression that she was meeting the 'Drop It Like It’s Hot' star during her flight to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mistaken Identity Leads to Viral Moment

The flight attendant's encounter was filmed by the look-alike’s cousin, Timothy Graham, capturing her as she joyfully said, 'You make me feel so short!' while hugging and taking pictures with the man she believed was the 52-year-old music icon. Full of excitement, she later shared the images on her Instagram with the caption, 'I had Snoop Dogg on my flight into Fort Lauderdale today. He is the sweetest.'

It wasn't until her Instagram comments started pouring in that Lofton began to realize her mistake. Followers quickly pointed out the man was not in fact the real Snoop Dogg - real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. - and instead of being upset, the comments section filled with humorous remarks and playful jokes comparing the situation to the friendship between the real Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart.

The Real Snoop Dogg Reacts

Adding to the fun, the real Snoop Dogg saw the video and reacted by sharing it with laughing emojis, showing he took the mix-up in stride. Timothy Graham, the cousin of the mistaken passenger, acknowledged he played along with the mistaken identity for his own amusement. In the meantime, Snoop Dogg has been known for his own jokes, recently pretending online that he was quitting his infamous weed habit, which turned out to be a promotion for a smokeless fire pit brand.
