The Truth About Jade Thirlwall's Red Carpet Appearance at the BRITs

Published March 3, 2025

The truth behind Jade Thirlwall's 'music manager husband' has been revealed after they turned heads on the BRITs red carpet together on Saturday night.

The former Little Mix star, aged 32, made a bold fashion statement in a striking denim wedding dress. Accompanying her was a towering figure dressed in a white suit, who loomed behind her at the event.

Jade brought along Srbo Markovic to play the role of her groom. He sported a fat suit and oversized prosthetic gloves beneath his white suit, creating the illusion of a giant.

This unique look mirrored Jade's music video for her debut single, "Angel of My Dreams," where Srbo portrayed a giant menacing figure, symbolizing a controlling music manager.

In real life, Srbo stands at an impressive height of 6'10", but he looks quite different without the face prosthetics and added bulk, as seen on his Instagram account.

"Angel of My Dreams" delivers a critical commentary on the music industry, with many hints aimed at Simon Cowell, who played a significant role in their rise to fame on The X Factor.

The song includes provocative lyrics about selling her 'soul to a psycho,' which fans have speculated refers to Simon's former record label, SyCo.

In the music video, Jade sings about her marriage to the large male figure, stating: "Got you a car, got you a house / Got you a suit, it's Gucci / If I don't win, I'm in the bin." This reflects her experiences and frustrations in the industry.

According to Srbo's IMDb page, he is recognized for his contributions to television and film, particularly in stunt work, with credits that include "The Informer," "Ghosted," and "EastEnders." This appearance marked his debut in a music video.

On social media, Srbo shared a post of himself and Jade from the BRITs red carpet, captioning it with: "B R I T A W A R D S 2 0 2 5 @jadethirlwall." His Instagram offers fans a glimpse into his personal life, with various photos of his wife and child.

During the event, Jade was awarded the title of Best Pop Act, making it a milestone as her first solo Brit. In her emotional acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude towards her partner, Jordan Stephens, and her "Little Mix sisters," Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Jade shared, "I love you so much. I wouldn't have this award without them. They changed my life and I am so grateful."

Her acceptance speech quickly went viral, especially as she struggled to navigate the large train of her dress. As her name was announced, Jade gasped in shock and attempted to ascend the stairs to the stage, hindered by her elaborate outfit.

With the assistance of presenters The Sugababes, she managed to reach the stage, where she humorously pulled out a folded piece of paper from her dress for her speech. She remarked, "Oh my God! This is my first solo BRIT Award! I can't cry because I've got to sing later, but I did prepare a little piece of paper in case I won. I know it sounds cheesy, but I didn't want to forget anyone. I'm flustered."

Jade continued to thank her supporters and loved ones for their encouragement along her journey. She acknowledged the fans who voted for her, recognizing their crucial role in her success.

Jade also gave a touching nod to her family and team, stating, "My fabulous team around me, because it really does take a determined village to make a good pop act. Thank you for making me believe it was a reachable dream to be a pop star since I was little."

Jade concluded her heartfelt speech with further praise for her former bandmates, saying, "Finally, my Little Mix sisters, I love you so much. I wouldn't have this award without them. They changed my life and I am forever grateful."

The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time leading the event since his first in 2018.
