Estepona to Host 'A Christmas Carol' Concert by Vera+Cruz Music Band

The picturesque Plaza del Reloj of Estepona is set to come alive with the festive spirit as the Vera+Cruz Estepona Music Band prepares to present their rendition of 'A Christmas Carol' on Thursday, December 21 at 7.30pm. This concert draws its inspiration from Charles Dickens's beloved literary classic, bringing a timeless tale to the heart of Estepona.

Under the baton of Juan Carlos Ocaña Muñoz, the esteemed musical group from Real y Antigua Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de la Vera+Cruz will collaborate with two other notable ensembles for this special event; the theater group of the Coordinadora 'Barrio Vivo' from Algeciras, and the unique sounds of the 'Gibraltar Sea Pipe Band'. Together, they aim to transport the audience to the Victorian-era Christmas atmosphere reminiscent of the 19th century.

The story spotlights the infamous Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge, known for his miserly ways, deep-seated grumpiness, and lack of affection for the festive season. As he remains isolated by his work-centered lifestyle, Scrooge encounters three spirits on Christmas Eve representing his past, present, and future, sending him on a transformative journey.
