Aslan Appoints New Vocalist Lee Tomkins and Unveils Upcoming Tour Dates

The Irish rock band Aslan has undergone a significant transition with the appointment of Lee Tomkins as the new lead vocalist, succeeding the late Christy Dignam. Dignam, the renowned frontman, passed away at the age of 63 on June 13th of the previous year after battling a prolonged illness.

Dignam's contribution to music left an indelible mark on the hearts of fans and the Irish music scene. His legacy will be honored at a major event in Dublin, Christy Dignam: A Celebration, on May 3rd. The event at Vicar Street will showcase a host of prominent Irish artists interpreting Christy's most celebrated songs.

While acknowledging the irreplaceable nature of their former frontman, Aslan has chosen to move forward with Tomkins, whom they describe as a great support and expect to uphold the band's esteemed reputation.
