Oakland's Own Dani Satin and Her Velvet Band Bring Soul to Noise Pop Festival

Dani Satin, a beloved Oakland-based singer-songwriter renowned for her folk roots, is infusing her music with a new energy. She pursued her education at UC Berkeley, with a major in science and a minor in music, never really abandoning her musical aspirations. Her career later found her at Another Planet Entertainment, where her behind-the-scenes look at the music industry sparked the desire to return to the spotlight.

Music has always been Satin's healing force, helping her navigate through her deepest losses, including the recent passing of her father. She credits her creativity and courage to pursue music to him, as he had set an example by dedicating his life to a career in comedy writing and television.
