The internationally celebrated L.A. Times Festival of Books is set to charm literary enthusiasts with its remarkable convergence of authors, celebrities, and intellectuals this April on the USC campus.

With over 550 speakers announced, attendees can anticipate a diverse array of presentations from notable figures like filmmaker Miranda July, acclaimed actors Kerry Washington and Lauren Graham, and drag icon RuPaul. Reality television star Ariana Madix and Pulitzer Prize-winner Viet Thanh Nguyen will also grace the event with their insights.

In addition to star-studded discussions and signings, the weekend is packed with appearances by personalities across various domains, including writer Maggie Nelson, singer Lance Bass, comedian Maria Bamford, beloved children's figure Blippi, and many more.

The festival joyously welcomes back its culinary demonstrations, spotlighting chefs like Nancy Silverton, lauded for her recent cookbook, and actor Tiffani Thiessen, who adds a creative twist to everyday leftovers.

Sought-after ticketed events include RuPaul conversing about his latest memoir, while chef José Andrés will delve into his newest Mediterranean culinary adventures. Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor, in partnership with Crooked Media/Pod Save America, are set to engage audiences on political themes from their forthcoming book.

Cinema adaptations also get a nod with screenings tied to notable books, including a Max feature film 'Turtles All the Way Down,' soon to stream online. Furthermore, the festival isn't just about adult literature—it celebrates Latin culture with a revamped Latinidad Stage, spotlighting Latinx voices and stories.

The festivities commence on the eve of the main event with the prestigious L.A. Times Book Prize Awards, recognizing literary excellence and innovation across multiple categories, including a new award for audiobook production.
