Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals to Perform in Los Angeles
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals are set to hit the road this summer for an exciting 15-date tour that culminates with a performance at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 24.
This Los Angeles concert marks the group's only stop in Southern California, with another show planned at the Fox Theater in Oakland on Saturday, August 23. Tickets for all 15 dates will be available starting Friday, February 14, at 10 a.m., with presales beginning on Wednesday, February 12, through benharper.com.
The tour is anticipated to showcase a selection of classics from Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, alongside tracks from Harper's latest album, Wide Open Light, released in 2023. This album features notable collaborations with artists such as Jack Johnson, Shelby Lynne, and Piers Faccini. Over his career, Grammy-winning musician Ben Harper has collaborated with a diverse range of talents, including John Lee Hooker, Charlie Musselwhite, Ringo Starr, and Keith Richards.
In addition to his solo projects, Harper recently contributed his signature guitar skills to pop sensation Harry Styles' award-winning album, Harry’s House. He also shared the stage with Styles for 12 performances at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles in 2022. Harper has a notable history of producing albums for various artists, including Mavis Staples, Rickie Lee Jones, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Natalie Maines, and Ziggy Marley.
Beyond music, Harper has ventured into acting. He made an appearance in the first season of the AppleTV+ anthology series Extrapolations, which explores the harsh realities of climate change. More recently, he featured in the documentary It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Directed by Amy Berg, this film provides a heartfelt look at the life and cultural impact of the late Jeff Buckley, filled with rare performances and personal stories.
