Totally Tubular Festival: A Nostalgic New Wave Event Coming In Summer 2024

Published January 4, 2024

The Totally Tubular Festival, a celebration of 1980s New Wave music, is set to kick off its inaugural tour in the summer of 2024. Music fans across North America will have the opportunity to experience the nostalgic beats that once dominated the MTV era. The event will start on June 28 in Santa Barbara, CA, and conclude a month later on July 27 in Cincinnati, OH.

A Blast from the Past

Attendees of the Totally Tubular Festival will be transported back in time to relive the height of early to mid-80s pop culture, with performances featuring iconic artists like Thomas Dolby, Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey, Modern English, Men Without Hats, The Romantics, Bow Wow Wow, and others. In select markets, fans will also get the chance to see Tommy Tutone and The Plimsouls. The festival not only celebrates the music but the entire 80s vibeā€”from fluorescence to big hair and leg warmers.

Giving Back to Local Communities

In a move that combines nostalgia with charity, a portion of the festival's proceeds will be donated to local food banks in each city it visits. This ensures that the festival's return to the glory days of the '80s also gives back to contemporary communities in need.

Tour Details

The Totally Tubular Festival will cover 17 markets, with performances in iconic venues such as Los Angeles' YouTube Theatre, New York's Pier 17, and many more across the span of 17 dates. The lineup of shows promises to bring audiences back to a time when music was all about big choruses, catchy hooks, and all-night parties.
