Drake Hints at New Music Despite Previous Hiatus Announcement

Published February 14, 2024

Despite previously suggesting a break from music to prioritize his mental health, Drake has hinted at a return to the recording studio. Last year, after his album For All The Dogs was released, Drake announced he would be taking a hiatus. Nevertheless, during a recent appearance in St. Louis on the It's All A Blur Tour with J. Cole, he surprised fans with the prospect of fresh tracks.

Drake Speaks To His Fans

In the midst of the tour's energetic atmosphere, Drake felt an overwhelming desire to reciprocate the audience's enthusiasm. Addressing his fans, Drake expressed his joy at being on tour again. Despite his earlier announcement about taking a break, he found himself drawn back to his supportive fans.

"You know, I said I was taking a break and all that sh*t, but I'm right back on the road again," Drake confessed to his audience. "It's hard for me to stay away from y'all — I really do love you."

A New Album on the Horizon?

Further stirring excitement, Drake hinted at the possibility of working on his next album while on tour. "You never know, I might get bored and start making some new music on the road, see where it goes in the next little while," he speculated, suggesting that fans could anticipate new sounds sooner than expected.

The St. Louis shows were not just about the music; they also showcased Drake's generosity. He offered to pay for a dedicated fan’s surgery, asking only that the fan continues to support him at future concerts.
