In a remarkable showcase of youthful talent, Aaria Ghosh Chakrabarti, a nine-year-old singer and songwriter from Moorestown, New Jersey, and Montreal, Quebec, has captivated the music scene by launching her first album titled Feel the Light. Stepping into the limelight, this multilingual artist with proficiency in both English and French marries her exceptional musical skills with her zeal for composition.

Album Breakdown

Feel the Light is a diverse mix of genres encompassing Aaria's broad musical talents. This compilation features nine tracks that include four originals—all penned and composed by Aaria herself—and five creatively arranged covers of classical hits. Ranging from pop melodies to alternative rock, and even touching on jazz and symphonic pop, the collection is a testament to the young artist's versatile style. Additionally, the album presents an instrumental creation that underscores her musical breadth.

Evolving Musical Journey

Aaria began her journey in music at the tender age of three. She took to composing at five and performed live with Band Wildlife—a supporting act—by the age of seven. Her global performances have taken her from the United States to India, where she has headlined concerts in 2021 and 2022. Some of these original songs and arrangements from Feel the Light were refined during these international live shows before being recorded in the studio for the album launch.

Production and Release Details

The album was recorded in Aaria's personal studio, AGC Studios, and is the product of a collaboration with Prof. Andrea Young of Concordia University. It is now available for streaming and download on platforms such as Bandcamp, along with videos of Aaria's performances. Additionally, music lovers can stream her singles on popular platforms including Spotify and Amazon Music under Aaria and Band Wildlife.

Celebrating the Album

To mark the release, an online listening party for Feel the Light will be held on December 16th, inviting fans to immerse themselves in Aaria's musical world. Followers can also stay updated on her releases through her Bandcamp page.

More Than Just Music

Aside from her musical accomplishments, Aaria is an avid advocate for education. Through her social media channels, Aaria World, she provides accessible teachings in music theory, chess strategies, and scientific explorations aimed at both her peers and curious learners of all ages. Her knack for imparting knowledge also complements her creativity and contributes to broader dialogue on topics like nature and environmental conservation, themes that heavily inspire her music.

Looking Ahead

Aaria isn't resting on her laurels—she is already working on an original classical sonatina slated for release in 2024. Moreover, her prowess extends beyond music; she has achieved acclaim in chess, winning the USCF-rated Tri-State Chess Championship and ranking among the top young female chess players in the United States.
