Loveland's February Events Feature Author Talk and Valentine's Festivities

Loveland, Colorado, offers a host of activities for its residents this February. Notable events include a book talk at the Rialto Theater Center and a Valentine's Day card party at St. John the Evangelist Church.

‘Turn the Page’ with Florence Williams

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, Colorado Matters will host ‘Turn the Page,’ a book talk featuring Florence Williams, the author of ‘Heartbreak: A Personal and Scientific Journey.’ This event, running from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, will delve into William's exploration of heartbreak from both personal and scientific viewpoints, inspired by her own experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the book, meet the author, and Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner. The conversation will also be later broadcasted on the Colorado Matters show. Tickets are modestly priced at $5.

St. John’s Valentine Card Party

The annual Valentine Card Party, organized by St. John the Evangelist Church’s Council of Catholic Women, will take place from noon until 4 PM on the same day, Feb. 7. This event invites guests to enjoy an afternoon filled with card games, socializing, and sweet treats of dessert and coffee, along with raffles for door prizes. Cards and fun are provided, and tickets are $5. For those interested in participating or securing a table, reservations can be made by contacting Roberta or via email. Walk-in participants are also welcome.
