Renowned local musicians Ikaika Blackburn and Kaulike Pescaia will grace the event, which is free and open to the public, adding to Maui's vibrant cultural calendar.

Spotlight on Ikaika Blackburn

Ikaika Blackburn, a celebrated Maui musician, has deep roots in the island's musical scene. Not only is Blackburn a skilled ʻukulele player, but he also boasts membership in the Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winning Hawaiian music group Nā Hoa. His 2013 solo debut album, "Maliu," delighted fans with its traditional Hawaiian songs performed in Blackburn's stunning falsetto. Moreover, his musical talents extend to the trio Leohone, where he performs with Pi'ilani Arias and Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing. Outside the music world, Blackburn has also made his mark as a former UH football athlete and currently dedicates his time as a captain in the Maui County Fire Department.

Introducing Kaulike Pescaia

His journey in music began under the guidance of his father, further honed at Kamehameha Schools where he studied music theory. In 2014, Pescaia's talent was recognized when he clinched titles such as Male Vocalist and Overall Grand Prize at the Brown Bags to Stardom Statewide Finals. His first CD, "Ku’u Huaka’i," showcases his talent with a series of heartfelt performances, earning him accolades like Male Vocalist of the Year and Hawaiian Music Album of the Year among others.
