Sands China Collaborates With Local Musicians for Winter Performances

As the festive season approaches, Sands China Ltd. is joining forces with the Macau Band Directors Association to present a series of outdoor performances aimed at revitalizing the community's cultural scene. The Sands China Performing Arts Program Outreach Series – Winter Showcase promises to deliver a trio of dynamic shows.

Performance Schedule

The Winter Showcase is set to captivate audiences with three scheduled outdoor performances. The dates are planned as follows: December 16 (Saturday, 3 p.m.), December 28 (Thursday, 3 p.m.), and December 30 (Saturday, 3 p.m.). These events will serve as platforms to showcase the talents of more than 230 musicians from Macau and Japan.

Locations and Participants

Two prime outdoor venues have been selected for these performances, namely The Venetian Macao and the outdoor area of the Macao Cultural Centre Square. Attendees can look forward to exceptional displays of musicianship from groups such as the Macau Youth Symphony and Japan's Hachioji High School Wind Orchestra.

Aim of the Initiative

Enthusiastic about the upcoming cultural exchange, Dr. Wilfred Wong, the president of Sands China Ltd., expressed excitement for the initiative. "These gifted young musicians are examples of dedication and talent. Our aim is to facilitate a cultural exchange that will not only inspire and nurture these artists but also foster a thriving music community in Macau," he said.
