Norah Jones to Perform at Ottawa Jazz Festival

Published February 23, 2024

Famed musician Norah Jones is set to return to the Ottawa Jazz Festival this summer, gracing the stage once more on June 29. As a part of her North America tour, which was announced earlier this week, Jones is gearing up to delight fans with her unique blend of songwriting and piano artistry.

A New Musical Direction

Norah Jones also recently introduced a new track titled 'Staring at the Wall', showcasing a shift in her musical style. The song signifies a departure from her earlier, softer lounge sound as she explores more vibrant and dynamic expression in her music. 'Visions', her forthcoming full album featuring the new single, is set to release on March 8.

Jazz Festival Lineup Details

The Ottawa Jazz Festival promises an exciting lineup this year, with Jones among the top performers. The event, running from June 21-30, will present a mixed bag of talent including jazz sensation Laufey, jazz-pop group Lake Street Dive, and the energetic Trombone Shorty. With the main stage located at Confederation Park and other performances staged at Marion Dewar Plaza and the National Arts Centre, the festival will serve as a hub for jazz enthusiasts.

Attendees can purchase day tickets or full-festival passes through the festival's official website, and can look forward to the announcement of the full performer's roster soon.
