Millennium Park Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Common and Fruko y sus Tesos

In a significant celebration of Chicago's iconic Millennium Park, both local hero and award-winning artist Common, as well as the Colombian musical sensation Fruko y sus Tesos, are set to headline the park’s 20th Anniversary Festival. This highly anticipated event is slated to unfold over four days, starting from July 18th and culminating on July 21st.

The Anniversary Kickoff with Latin Flair

The festivities commence with the lively ¡Súbelo! festival, which will feature Fruko y Sus Tesos captivating the crowd at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Known for their infectious rhythms, Fruko y sus Tesos will honor their 60-year legacy in making the world dance with their exuberant performance.

The celebration continues with an array of performances ranging from 'Star Wars and More: the Music of John Williams' by the Grant Park Orchestra, to house music tributes, and cultural showcases. However, the highlight is undoubtedly Common, the Chicago-based singer, rapper, and actor, gracing the stage at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on July 20th. His show, a unique collaboration with the Grant Park Orchestra conducted by Anthony Parnther, promises to be a standout experience for festival-goers.
