Brisa Festival: Malaga’s Port Transforms into a Musical Epicenter

Published January 24, 2024

Malaga's Port is poised to become the city's epicenter of music with the highly anticipated Brisa Festival, a dynamic event unveiled at the international tourism trade fair, Fitur.

Set to enliven the Port of Malaga on July 25, 26, and 27, Brisa Festival will transform a grand 10,000-square-meter space into three distinct stages, each ready to host an array of performances.

Expansion to Three Dynamic Stages

The festival is undergoing a significant expansion, moving from a single stage to a trio, including a main stage where headliners will captivate audiences. Local Malaga artists will grace the two additional stages, showcasing a lineup including Mikel Izal, Lori Meyers, and hometown hero El Kanka, alongside Kiko Veneno, Xoel Lopez, Dorian, Tabletom, ELYELLA, and Angel Stanich.

Gastronomic Experiences and Cultural Celebrations

Brisa Festival will also tantalize taste buds with an enhanced selection of culinary offerings, with a special nod to Malaga's regional gastronomy. Leopoldo Merida, the festival's director, introduced these new additions at FITUR, accompanied by El Kanka, the local cultural figurehead.

Distinguished guests at the unveiling included Malaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre, Provincial Council's Francisco Salado, and Port of Malaga President Carlos Rubio. El Kanka, acknowledged as a metaphor for success in the music scene, epitomizes the festival's spirit, as do the Malaga CreaRock award recipients who will take the stage, highlighting the festival's collaboration with the youth competition.

Philanthropic Endeavors of Brisa

Apart from delivering an unforgettable musical experience, Brisa Festival is committed to charitable initiatives, supporting organizations such as the Red Cross. The event benefits from partnerships with Malaga City Council, the Provincial Council of Malaga, Turismo Costa del Sol, and Cervezas Victoria, among others.

Financial institutions like CaixaBank and collaborators including Puerto de Malaga, Grupo Cabello, BMW Automotive, Foreworth, Famadesa, El Corte Ingles, and Muelle Uno all play instrumental roles in furthering the festival's impact. This diverse cultural showcase not only promises high-quality entertainment but also stands as a beacon of community engagement and social commitment.
