Young Woman Dies at Techno Event in Cardiff Music Venue

A 21-year-old woman's life tragically ended at a techno music event at Vaults on Bute Street in Cardiff this past weekend. DJ and producer Azyr was headlining the Friday night gathering, and during the early hours of Saturday, the young woman fell seriously ill.

Emergency Response and Venue's Reaction

First responders from the South Wales Ambulance Service were called to the scene and, alongside the nightclub's own medical personnel, they made every attempt to save her life. Despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead, leaving the venue and the entire community in shock and sorrow.

Vaults released an official statement mourning the loss, 'We are absolutely heartbroken due to the events of Friday night. During the event, concerns were raised for an individual who was immediately taken to the onsite medic for medical assistance. South Wales Ambulance Service arrived within minutes to the aid of our medic, but tragically the individual passed away despite every effort from the medical staff.'

The statement continued fervently, 'We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the individual and offer our continued support during this tragic time. We extend our gratitude to South Wales Police, South Wales Ambulance Service, SEMS, Vaults staff, and Rubicon Security for their incredible efforts.'

Following the devastating incident, Vaults cancelled their Saturday night event. South Wales Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the young woman's unforeseen death. They described their ongoing work as 'continuing to investigate the sudden and unexplained death of a 21-year-old woman who was taken ill at a music event in Butetown in the early hours of Saturday morning.'
