On the jovial afternoon of Saturday, January 20, a gathering of 93 U3A Vall del Pop patrons united with the adored OK band enthusiasts for an eventful charity extravaganza.

A Thrilling Five-Hour Celebration

What commenced as a modest festive gathering soon erupted into an exuberant five-hour fiesta. The event not only epitomized community spirit but also underscored the philanthropic efforts of U3A Vall del Pop’s Goodwill charity. Generosity was at the heart of this celebration as Terry and a fellow bandmate co-hosted at their scenic abode, doubling as a rehearsal space. The venue was set for an intimate indoor picnic concert.

A Musical Feast for the Ears

The festivities kicked off with an electrifying performance from Alain and Elena, the dynamic duo behind Multipass, synchronizing beats and rhythms that set an exhilarating tone for the day. As attendees reveled in picnicking, the air was filled with the enticing aromas of homemade sausage rolls, cakes, marmalades, and chutneys, all supplementing the picnic ambience.

Anticipation built as the OK band prepped for their limelight, eventually delivering an astounding two and a half-hour set which captured the crowd, leaving them in high spirits, dancing and singing along.

A Triumphant Outcome for Charity

Known for their benevolent endeavors, the OK band has been pivotal in charity support, previously raising a notable sum for worthy causes. Their continued support has been instrumental, and this event was no different as it culminated in a grand total of €1952 being raised.

The efforts of U3A Vall del Pop, alongside the fantastic contributions from the OKs, Multipass, and all the volunteers, culminated in the day's triumph. Gratitude resonates profoundly towards each participant who lent a hand or offered support, ensuring the event's overwhelming success.
