Sunkist Elementary Home to Music and Philanthropy Before NAMM

In the heart of Anaheim, the sounds of music and joy resonated through the halls of Sunkist Elementary School as it hosted a Day of Service event. This special day, filled with melodies and rhythm, was sponsored by the NAMM Foundation and its members. On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, just before the highly anticipated annual NAMM convention, students at the school were treated to a unique experience that put the spotlight on the importance of music education.

Throughout the morning, students eagerly participated in a variety of music workshops. From mariachi tunes to the rhythmic beats of drum circles, and the harmonious strumming in ukulele workshops, the children had the chance to immerse themselves in diverse musical activities. In a generous act supporting the arts in education, NAMM officials presented Sunkist Elementary with a substantial gift—a $10,000 check dedicated to music education.
