Published February 15, 2024

A Beatles enthusiast from Somerset has taken his adoration for the Liverpool quartet to unprecedented levels. Formerly known as David Presley, the 72-year-old has legally changed his name to John Paul George Ringo Lennon, in homage to the celebrated band members.

John's passion for the Beatles is evident throughout his home, which serves as a shrine to the iconic group. His dedication is so deep that he even named his grandson after one of the band members, Paul McCartney.

Life Revolving Around The Beatles

The superfan reportedly spends about five hours each day listening to Beatles music. Having disfavored the nickname 'Elvis', associated with his birth name Presley, he opted for a name that truly represents his personal interest. His home is a treasure trove of Beatles memorabilia, including life-sized posters of the group which he warmly greets every morning and evening.

Not only is his fandom displayed through his collection of memorabilia, but also through permanent tributes on his own skin. John boasts tattoos of each band member's name on his arm, the Beatles logo on his neck, and a portrait of the Fab Four on his leg.

Everyday Life with The Beatles

John's devotion to the Beatles extends into his style as well. He sleeps in Beatles-themed linen, sports a moptop haircut reminiscent of the band in its heyday, and owns a multitude of Beatles-branded apparel, including 100 t-shirts and four pairs of trainers displaying the famous Liverpool musicians. He even dons a Sgt Pepper's suit, showcasing his love for the influential music act.

His unwavering adoration for the band is also reflected in his family, with his daughter naming her son Paul McCartney and his nephew bearing the name Richard Lennon. The music that the Beatles created continues to inspire him, with 'All You Need Is Love' and John Lennon's 'Give Peace a Chance' being his top tunes.

While John celebrates the band every day, he is not alone in his extraordinary forms of tribute to the Beatles. Another fan, for instance, once claimed to have seen John Lennon's face in a pint of beer, which quickly gained attention on social media.
