Alhaurín el Grande Hosts Intimate 'Minimal Concerts' at La Baltasara

Published February 15, 2024

The Culture Department of Alhaurín el Grande Town Council proudly presents an array of intimate performances known as the 'Conciertos Mínimos' or Minimal Concerts, set to be one of the town's premier cultural attractions in the coming months. Intended for those who appreciate a unique musical journey, these small-format gigs will take place in the scenic La Baltasara, a venue that promises a blend of music with a rich sensory backdrop, courtesy of the podcast Tofeelmore.

An Innovative Musical Experience

Offering a fresh musical perspective to Alhaurín el Grande, the Minimal Concerts are spearheaded by Tofeelmore, a musical podcast launched by Javier Muñoz. For half a decade, Tofeelmore has been a platform showcasing new music trends and artists. These musical events will be hosted in the beautiful gardens of the Casa Museo Antonio Gala, adding a touch of natural elegance to the proceedings.

The Antonio Gala House Museum: A Lush Venue

Spanning 30,000 square meters, the Antonio Gala House Museum, replete with main residence, accessory structures, verdant gardens, and orchards, sits along the Fahala River. Once a private sanctuary for the renowned Spanish writer and poet Antonio Gala and his friends, it's now a public cultural treasure, revitalized by the local council for events such as this.

Eclectic Musical Lineup

The concert series in the gardens will witness the performance of 'floating artists,' as the podcast fondly refers to them. These musicians come from diverse genres including new age, experimental, contemporary classical, and ambient electronica. Kicking off the series on May 11 at 8pm is Lambert, the enigmatic German pianist donning a mask and celebrated for his contributions in contemporary classical, ambient, and alternative music circles.

Tickets for the upcoming concerts can be secured via the following website: tofeelmore.com. This is an invitation to immerse oneself in an evening of minimalistic music amidst the enchanting atmosphere of La Baltasara's botanical beauty.
