In a surprising twist to New Year's Eve festivities, popular television presenter Declan Donnelly, known simply as Dec, thrilled the patrons of a Northumberland pub with an unexpected musical performance, followed by a warm invitation to his mother's house.

A New Year's Eve to Remember

Paying a visit to The Badger in Ponteland, the 46-year-old star, famous for hosting 'I'm A Celeb,' spontaneously took to the stage and delivered a heartwarming version of Billy Joel's classic, 'Piano Man.' Although his presenting partner Ant wasn't in attendance, Dec didn't miss a beat, entertaining the crowd while reading lyrics off his phone.

Continuing the Party at Dec's Family Home

The celebration took an even more memorable turn when Dec extended an invitation to the attendees to join him at his mother's residence, offering them a continuation of the revelry in a more personal setting. Those who were present described a fantastic atmosphere and praised Dec for being as genuine and affable as he appears on television.

Despite his successful career and the ability to afford luxurious accommodations, Dec's mother chose to remain in the family's council home where Dec grew up with his six siblings. The star's frequent visits suggest a strong connection to his roots, as he is often seen singing and enjoying time at the pub on special occasions like New Year's Eve.

Currently living in Chiswick with his wife Ali Astall and their two children, Dec's life in London includes a lavish £7 million home with the recent addition of a neighboring property for which they are planning renovations.
