African Children’s Choir to Perform in Redlands During Their 2023 US Tour

Published December 2, 2023

The talented African Children’s Choir is scheduled to grace the stage with a heartwarming concert on December 3 at 7 p.m., hosted by the First United Methodist Church located at 1 E. Olive Ave., Redlands. This event presents an opportunity for the community to experience an extensive repertoire that includes joyful children’s songs, soulful traditional spirituals, and vibrant African cultural compositions.

The 2023 US Tour

The choir's appearance in Redlands is a significant part of their extensive 2023 U.S. tour, which boasts over 50 performances across the country. Southern California will enjoy multiple performances, with shows also scheduled in Torrance on December 6 and in Northridge on December 13.

A Blend of Music and Mission

As part of Music for Life, a global Christian nonprofit organization, the African Children’s Choir is more than a musical group; it’s a mission-driven initiative that gives children from 10 to 12 years of age, many of whom have faced substantial hardships and barriers to education, a platform to transform their lives through music and learning. The organization behind the choir supports educational endeavors for thousands of African children, aiming to provide a brighter, more hopeful future.

Joining the Cause

This concert, which follows a previous renowned performance in Redlands in February 2019, is free to attend. However, donations are highly encouraged to support the choir's mission. These funds directly contribute to the education and life-changing programs for the children involved.
