Published December 10, 2023

Ahmad Ally, known by his stage name 'Guyana Prince Ally', combines his successful Canadian career with his love for his roots by frequently returning to his native land, Guyana. As a singer, songwriter, and producer originally from Corriverton, Berbice, Ally embraces his heritage through music and community involvement. Though he made Canada his new home in 1984, his bond with Guyana remains unbreakable.

Ally's Musical Journey and Community Contribution

With a music career spanning over 50 years, the 63-year-old Guyana Prince Ally occupies a special place in the hearts of his countrymen. Every year, he makes it a point to return to Guyana, host award shows, champion local music projects, and engage with fellow musicians. His objective is more than entertainment; it's about enriching the very society that shaped him.

During his visits, he also launches new music. His latest offerings include a festive 'Christmas Dance Mix' and an Extended Play (EP) record called 'Baker Street', which has six tracks. These releases coincide with his bouts of charity work in orphanages and churches, showcasing his commitment to giving back to the community.

A Lifetime of Musical Achievements

Ally has won numerous accolades for his significant contributions to the music industry, including the Reggae Music Awards, Juno Awards, and Canadian Reggae Awards. Remarkably, he's the first Guyanese of Indian descent to be recognized in the Reggae genre.

His business endeavors in Canada involve running an electronics store alongside his recording company, Ally Talent International Production (ATIP). A testament to his musical lineage, ATIP not only produces music but also seeks to unearth new talent in his homeland through scouting initiatives and collaborations.

Upcoming Events and Initiatives

Ally's ATIP Music Productions has scheduled an Awards Night dedicated to local artists, set to take place in February, as well as an Annual Bob Marley tribute, which is co-hosted with Ras Leon Saul. Ally's passion for music and partnerships is evident as he balances life between Canada and Guyana, utilizing his recording studio and label to foster growth for artists both locally and abroad.
